Brett and I have been watching “The Crown” on Netflix, I’ve already seen it and finally talked him to getting on board and he loves it. Its crazy how much he didn’t know about the monarchy and has learned through the series. I always have an internal debate whether it’s a blessing or a burden to be in the Royal family.

Having to do MAJOR press that everyone in the world pays attention to just days after giving birth- – seems like a burden. I mean Meghan Markle is a trooper for doing it with a smile on her face (and high heels on her feet) but can’t you just look at her and see beyond it? Like leave me the hell alone, I just gave birth, I’m exhausted and I’m guessing sore.

Let’s talk about the new baby who is now 7th in line to the throne AKA not a chance in hell. Archie (not Archibald) Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. I’m still on the fence about the name, I put a poll on my Instagram and people seem to like it more than they dislike it. Here’s the press they did just today where they talked about being new parents…

Just sitting here thinking about everything they said, about his temperament, about how they were getting ready to introduce him to the Queen and running into the Duke in the hallway just before this video. Just think about that, being a part of that family, having a royal baby. I would give just about anything to be a fly on the wall at Windsor Castle for a day. Then there is this picture…

Just last night, Brett and I finished the episode where the Queen changes certain things in order to evolve with the way England was changing. At the end of the episode you see the Queen and the Queen Mother, about to open Buckingham to the public for the first time. The disgust for the changes they were essentially forced into was evident and discussed freely right before stepping into a room of commoners with fake smiles and forced conversation. It just makes me wonder about this picture, what the Queen is actually thinking here. What her frame of mind is in this day and age, how much she’s been forced to evolve and her thoughts on it. Has she grown with the times, does she have old fashioned views and opinions that are forced to the back of her mind to please the people? I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS! I guess I will just have to keep watching “The Crown” and hope that someone on the inside will still be sharing secrets at this point in her life and by season 85, I’ll have all my answers.
