I have been preaching to the CHOIR for months about BoxyCharm. Some of you have been catching on but others are sleepin on it. ┬áIt’s a monthly makeup subscription where you get 5 full size products for $22.73 a month. No not janky Wet N Wild brands and other shit you can get at Target, I’m talking LEGIT brands and LEGIT products. I know this sounds like something I’m trying to get you to sign up for so I can get something for free but I honestly just want people to do it because it’s awesome and to be honest, their referral program kind of sucks. If someone signs up with my code (which you can access HERE) I get charms which will allow me to purchase something out of their charm room. Majority of the stuff in the charm room I already have or sometimes is stuff I don’t want (like beauty blenders etc). SO I really don’t care if you sign up with my code, I just want you to have this service to better your life. For the first time ever, they released a box of all skincare items which I was ALLLLLLLLLL over because I’ve wanted to up my skincare game for awhile now. I’m going to review that box and my regular May boxy. Get ready to get your CC out and sign up immediately after reading.

I have a group chat with two of my friends and we primarily talk about BoxyCharm (we also talk shit about other people but mostly Boxy).

I want to talk about the May box before I get into the skincare box. I wasn’t as excited about the May box because I knew the skin care box was coming and I was PUMPED about that. I was pleasantly surprised when there was skincare in my May box, so I will start with that. I suck at brands but from the reaction of people, I guess “GlamGlow” is a great brand and I received a GlamGlow Gentle Bubble Cleanser which retails at $28. It has that pearl-like consistency so one little drop goes a long way. My face feels really clean after using it and looks nice too. I hate to admit this on such a public forum, but I normally use Clean and Clear ….and it’s under control. It also came with an Alamar Blush Trio that looks rich in color and retails at $22, a Caite London Eye Lustre Creme Eyeshadow that I can’t wait to try tomorrow when I actually do my makeup (retails at $22). It also came with a Dose Of Colors Liquid Matte Lipstick which retails at $18 (not a huge lipstick girl but Ill save it for a rainy day) and a Mellow Brow Definer which also retails at $18 that I’m excited to try because I’m always looking for my new favorite brow product. I was stuck on MAC for my brows forever but then I recently got an Anastasia Brow Dip that changed my brow journey in a completely new direction. Thanks to BoxyCharm I’m not really a creature of habit when it comes to any of my makeup regimens.

Every 3 months, if you’ve also subscribed to BoxyLuxe you pay an extra $28 and get 10 (I think) full sized products that total up to $250 in value. This box is my favorite, you get loads of great name brand items like Elemis face cream, Morphe palettes, Lilly lashes. The upcoming BoxyLuxe is going to include a mini travel turbo hairdryer that is worth $85, it’s a no brainer. They are always evolving and although this skin care box was claimed to be a one time thing, I bet they end up implementing it into their subscription. Which brings me to the moment we’ve all been waiting for, the details of the first and only Boxy skincare box.

I received it yesterday, opened it and wanted to use it all at once which probably isn’t what you’re supposed to do. I did use 5 out of the 8 items right away and then glanced in the mirror to see if I got prettier and my skin got smoother. I was most excited about the Cosmedix Jade Roller which retails at $32! I have seen so many people post about them and how they help minimize dark circles. I need all the help I can get in that department, my eyes basically look like two black holes on my face. Get sucked into those bad boys and you’re dead. I didn’t know how exactly I was supposed to use it though, along with most of the products in this skincare box so I did the nature thing, YouTubed it. Here is an awesome unboxing video of all the items in the skincare box.

I didn’t get the cleansing wipes shown in this video, I got the Caudalie Grape Water retailed at $10. I used it this morning before applying my BB cream and it was very refreshing on my face. It felt like the MAC spray but not so wet, it was more dewy. I don’t know if I”m making it sound appealing but it was great. Tomorrow night I am emceeing Hair Wars in Roseville and I can’t wait to use the Glow Recipe Watermelon Sheet Mask that retails at $16. Like she said in the video, it’s supposed to really prep the skin for a great makeup day. I need that. The GlamGlow Super Serum is awesome although I will have to get used to the way it feels on my face. It feels a little heavy but reduces the appearance of pores so I don’t care how thick it feels, I’m just worried I am going to fall in love with it and then have to buy it for the retail value of $65. I did follow the serum with Elemis Superfood Night Cream (retails $45) and I LOVED the way that felt on my face and I’ve never had a night cream so I’m excited about that. There’s also a Saturday Skin Refining Peel Gel which retails at $28, Kopari Coconut Cleansing Oil which I used today after work to get my makeup off and I was shocked at how light it felt in my hands yet how much it worked on my face AND last but not least, the Farsali Jelly Beam Highlighter which retails at $40….and it’s a small ass tub for $40 so you know it’s good. I’m excited to try it tomorrow, the texture literally shakes like a bowl of jello and it’s a really pretty gold color which I’m hoping will pop on my skin. The only thing I was hoping for and didn’t get was an eye cream. Back to the eye situation, I need all the help I can get. I look like character from “Lord of the Rings” with minimal hair and big dark scary eyes.

Let’s just tally all that up……I paid $67.73 for $376 worth of product. Let that sink in. Hi, I might not have a cute makeup YouTube channel but I am selling the FUCK out of his company. Can a girl get a job or what?
